Making cakes, baked goods and sweet treats; Rayan came to Webheads when they wanted to make the leap to be able to sell their products online.
As such, we created a custom WooCommerce website for them to be able to do just this. Rather than just give them a simple online vehicle to achieve this, we gave them a turbocharged website that was crafted consistently with their branding, brand values and information all available and apparent. This very design (and design aesthetic) helped to facilitate sales online as it subtlety and effectively ushered website visitors through the sales funnel to convert them into paying customers.
When working with food and edible products, the senses have to come into play to make those who see the products desire them straightaway. Knowing this, we made sure to showcase the products with large and eye-catching imagery in high resolution and detailing – displaying the variety of adornments on the namoura mixed nuts and the decadent layer of powdered sugar on the mammoul for example. The ‘Bakery’ and ‘Patisserie’ pages expanded on this too while also fleshing out the brand USPs with headlines and callouts such as ‘from Lebanon with love’, ‘a little bliss in every bite’ and ‘ingredients of excellence’.
As Rayan has a physical bricks and mortar location in London and also offers delivery of their products through their online shop; it was important that we clearly displayed and differentiated between the two. This meant having a separate ‘Delivery’ page with the relevant information on it and a separate landing page for the online shop aspect so that website visitors knew they were at the correct destination to fulfil their needs and order. The footer also included a dedicated ‘shop’ e-mail address so any questions or queries could be easily sent to the correct channel for a speedy response.
Having worked with the WooCommerce software (a plugin for Wordpress) for many many years, Webheads easily rose to the challenge when Rayan reached out to us with their eCommerce ambitions.
