Our clients seek our expert motorsport web design skills not only because we provide custom and bespoke solutions for them, but in the case of Daytona, they also know that the team are petrol heads at heart. Seeking a robust online vehicle to turbocharge their online presence and showcase their ‘arrive and drive’ racing model, Daytona reached out to Webheads into 2006 and are a longstanding client of ours to this day. After we successfully designed and launched their Daytona website, they also commissioned us to design their Daytona Max website too.
Great websites are a lot like cars in that they serve an important function and also have an aesthetic appeal about them. Daytona were looking to drive sales to their business with a modern and responsive website platform. We created for them a full-page expansive website that was also mobile device responsive and was in keeping with their bold red and black colour scheme. Edge-to-edge photography of track racing was used to great effect to show the high-octane Daytona karting experience in action.
The website had to host a healthy amount of information and data in relation to heats and class divisions, their venues across the UK, a responsive contact us and booking form and also a page dedicated to the history and team behind Daytona. This design again reiterated the ubiquity of a header adorned with tabs in website design – something which has become a classic staple of usability and versatility as it can collapse to the equally popular ‘hamburger menu’ when rendered on a mobile device.
As we always do, the Webheads team crossed the finish line for this project both on time and on budget. We consistently do this, to the satisfaction of our clients, because we make sure to understand the client and their brief(s) and deliver exactly what they imagine. The results in this instance were that of the Daytona.co.uk website launched back in 2006 and still attracting visitors and business online today. This has become their hub of online activity and information that highlights their contact details and keeps a constant stream of news active for their website visitors in the form of their news page, next event updates and links to the Daytona TV video series.
