The Paris Explorer Pass website utilises an online booking system known as Rezdy which is specially designed for the likes of travel and tourism. Webheads custom designed the Paris Explorer Pass website and so we undertook some API (application programming interface) work to allow Rezdy to work seamlessly with our slick and responsive design. This empowered visitors of the website to be able to not only browse the website and discover what the pass can do; but also to make their purchase online by picking from a multitude of choices that suited them most.
When proceeding to buy a Paris Explorer Pass online, visitors can pick to use the pass to visit three, five or seven attractions. After making their selection, they are then brought to a calendar to select their travel dates. This is where the API work gets underway as the software at use behind the scenes interacts with the information to display the correct booking options. This was an important aspect for us to include as part of the custom website design as both us and the Leisure Pass Group knew just how in demand this particular attraction would be. By distilling our application programming interface (API) skills into the design project, the website serves as one singular destination for all of the information and availability that tourists would need for their Paris trip. This also added a USP of sorts to the Paris Explorer Pass in that the pass could be bought with a reserved spot for the Eiffel Tower with nothing left to chance (and therefore nothing potentially wasting time when on vacation).
