The Company is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.
2. Purpose of the Policy
This policy’s purpose is to:
– Establish a stance against modern slavery and human trafficking.
– Provide information and guidance to those working in our Company and its supply chains on how to recognize and prevent slavery and human trafficking.
– Ensure that appropriate and effective action is taken where risks of modern slavery are identified.
3. Scope
This policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of the Company, in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.
4. Definitions
– Modern Slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. WDC Agency Limited has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery.
– Human Trafficking involves the arranging or facilitating of the travel of another person with a view to that person being exploited. The Company is committed to ensuring individuals are not used for these purposes.
5. Responsibility for the Policy
– The board of directors has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy and its implementation comply with our legal and ethical obligations.
– Managers at all levels are responsible for ensuring those reporting to them understand and comply with this policy and are given adequate training on it and the issue of modern slavery in supply chains.
6. Compliance
– You must ensure that you read, understand and comply with this policy.
– The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains is the responsibility of all those working for us or under our control. You are required to avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.
– You must notify your manager or the compliance team as soon as possible if you believe or suspect that a conflict with this policy has occurred, or may occur in the future.
7. Training
– Regular training on this policy and on the risk our business faces from modern slavery in its supply chains will be provided.
8. Communication and Awareness of This Policy
– Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter.
9. Breaches of This Policy
– Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.
– We may terminate our relationship with other individuals and organizations working on our behalf if they breach this policy.
10. Review
– This policy will be reviewed regularly and may be amended from time to time.
